TYPES OF COILOVERS
There are three main types of coilovers: coilover sleeves, non-shock adjustable coilovers, and shock adjustable coilovers.
Coilover sleeves resemble lowering the spring and are height-adjustable. They include top mounts and can be placed over an existing shock. Non-shock adjustable coilovers are full-bodied coilovers with shocks included, but the shocks are not adjustable. Shock adjustable coilovers have nearly all of the same characteristics as non-adjustable coilovers, but the shocks are adjustable.
Types of Coilovers
There are three main types of coilovers; let’s look at them.
a). Coilover Sleeves
The sleeve on coilovers resembles lowering the spring. The distinction is that the Coilover sleeves are height-adjustable. There are many options available to you, including a choice of lengths and pricing. There is no shock or strut in Coilover sleeves. It includes top mounts and can be placed over an existing shock. Coilover sleeves are a good place to start for suspension changes. It also includes a camber kit and is reasonably priced.
b). Non-Shock Adjustable Coilovers
The flexibility to modify the height is the most appealing feature of this Non-shock adjustable Coilover. The Non-shock adjustable Coilover is a full-bodied Coilover with shocks included. The shock, however, is not adjustable. This implies you don’t control the rebound, compression, or stiffness settings.
c). Shock Adjustable Coilovers
Shock adjustable coilovers have nearly all of the same characteristics as non-adjustable coilovers. The “shocks” are the sole distinction between these two. In the adjustable shock Coilovers, the shock is adjustable and finely dialed into the suspensions. You will have a smooth compression and rebound, thanks to the shocks. The stiffness can also be changed.
